At GESAC we understand that sometimes we all need that extra little bit of motivation! So throughout the year we will be running lots of different programs to cater for different interests and goals. These programs are offered as something different to our group fitness classes or personal training options. Programs will include boot camps, running groups, biggest loser events, nutrition seminars and body transformation challenges. Watch this space for our current programs and events!
Living Longer Living Stronger
Living Longer Living Stronger (LLLS) was established by Council On The Ageing Victoria (COTA) as a progressive strength program to improve the quality of life and ability to perform everyday activities for older adults. It’s primary focus is to address negative stereotyping and myths associated with strength training for older people, promote the benefits of strength training and endorse partners that can provide a socially interactive environment that is fun and accessible. The program is specifically for over 50s who care about their health and fitness and enjoy exercising with like-minded people. The program aims to develop functional strength, improve balance, co-ordination and mobility while being fun and challenging. GESAC is running eight LLLS sessions each week, with the hope of growing the program into one of the largest providers in Australia. See the Group Fitness Timetable for session times and days.
